Update: In last week’s Data & Charts, we showed a chart from @JavierBlas with an attendance of 70,000 at the COP28 CLIMATE CONFERENCE in Dubai. Here is an update of that chart also from Blas. Attendance has in fact been not far from 100,000. (via @JavierBlas)

Main takeaway: The conference itself is a business, and deals are being made on the sidelines, some of which are unrelated to climate concerns or sustainability.
