NVIDIA reported its first quarter results on Wednesday after the close. They were better than expected. This chart shows NVIDIA’S Q1 INCOME STATEMENT in graphic form. Data Center accounted for 87% of the quarter’s revenues (see Nvidia’s Data Center platform). Elsewhere, it is difficult to imagine better metrics: a gross margin of 78%, a net margin of 57%, SG&A at only 3% of revenues etc. Some will gripe that the effective tax rate is on the low side at 14%, but shareholders only have reason to celebrate. Interest income, shown in the chart as ‘Other $0.4B’ (next to ‘Net Profit’ though it’s a pretax item), reflects the company’s cash pile that now exceeds $25 billion. (via @EconomyApp).
